By scanning 2,814 PDB entries, we generated 1,629 two-chain interfaces, in each at least 10 residues were involved in contact. Symmetry-related subunit-subunit interface was not included at current stage. After five iterative clustering cycles, with looser similarity criteria at further iteration, 351 interface families were created.

An updated dataset of protein-protein interfaces has been created. The new dataset of interfaces contains 21,704 two-chain interfaces out of 18,687 entries in the PDB.
